For years I have been using WD-40 to clean off Earl's Cheap Imitation Mutton Tallow and other waxy metal spinning lubricants from spun metal parts. I now use a generic version of WD-40 sold by Wal-Mart and marketed under the brand name of Super Tech. The Super Tech Lubricant seems to work just as well as the WD-40 at about half the cost. This is important when you use as much as I do. This product is made in USA and works great, however, I have been told that people like the smell of the WD-40 better.
